Van Gogh in Istanbul… Alive !

The centre of culture and arts in Istanbulhosts another exceptional exhibition : The Van Gogh Alive Digital Art Exhibition will remain open until May 15th 2012 and is exhibited at Antrepo No3 in Karaköy.

The exhibit is the combination of arts and technology, where thousands of digital images of Vincent Van Gogh’s most famous works tell one story. Van Gogh Alive, the frameless art, exhibits the famous artist’s lively and passionately detailed works from 1880-1890, reflected through the use of 40 projectors, high resolution technology, on giant screens, walls, columns, floors and even ceilings. A creative display who tries to redefine the audience’s connection with art.

Antrepo No 3, which belongs to Istanbul Maritime, is located next to Istanbul Museum of Modern Art. It was the old tobacco warehouse in Tophane, one of the venues that hosted last years 12th Istanbul Biennial.
